BlackBerry Curve 8530 now official on Sprint
Posted Nov 5th 2009 3:03PM by Chris Ziegler
As we revealed this morning, the BlackBerry Curve 8530 -- a CDMA remix of the 8520 now available on T-Mobile -- is coming to Sprint to do battle with its Verizon-branded cousin. Unlike Verizon, which promises a November 20 launch for $99.99 on contract after rebate, Sprint isn't revealing pricing or availability details for the low-end BlackBerry -- but naturally, if they're smart, the answers will be "cheap" and "soon," respectively.

Not really feeling the purple... I guess some will like it, but not for me. It goes to show how mainstream blackberries have come though, as purple doesn't exactly shout professionalism.

I think they're supposed to have both a purple and a black one.

I guess Royal Purple is supposed to be the signature color of the soccer moms that have also seem to taken the Blackberry as their own for scheduling their PTA meetings.

I'm still wondering why anyone would buy this device?

Well I love it, purple is my favorite color and I wasn't sold on the hold blackberry idea and now they have it in purple, I can't wait for the release date. Two of my other friends also like purple one is getting it but the other already has a blackberry. I just hope the upgrade is a reasonable price so that I'm not paying an arm and a leg and half of my rent.
